Provoke Design was established in 2010 by principal and designer, Danielle Murray. Danielle attended Parsons, The New School of Design for architecture and graduated in 2012 with academic honors. During her academic career, she had the honor of having her work archived by Parsons four times. She was privileged to be selected by the Dean of the School of Design Strategies, Alison Mears, at Parsons to help work on the master planning and the concept + schematic design phase for St. George’s School in Ethiopia, a not-for-profit school financed by Broomwood Hall Schools of London. Danielle currently works for an architecture company as a junior architect / project manger in New York City, Guillermo Gomez Architect, where she prepares drawings (from schematic designs to construction documents). She is very experienced in assisting in the design process and coordinates with and assists clients from the design development process all the way through the completion of the projects. She assists the principal and lead architect in research, sourcing and selection of materials for high-end residential, institutional, commercial projects and residences in the Hamptons. Prior to her time at Parsons, Danielle was living in Florida, attending the University of South Florida for Architecture and had worked for 2 interior design companies. Provoke Design is a young growing company with quite a few notable projects such as residential interior design, commercial interior design and freelance rendering work. Danielle has had notable student work ranging from projects such as a collaborative team installation at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) with Carnegie Fabrics to showcase their product Xorel, to graphic design submissions to Wedgewood in a competition entitled “What’s Old is New”. Danielle finds having her architectural background a great advantage in the design process in all of the experiences she has had whether in her academic career, in the work place or as a freelance designer.
